I have been using sify broadband service in Pune for the last six months and I am completely satisfied with it so far. Its pretty fast, up time is good and the package I have chosen suits me very well. Basically its 950 Rs/1GB/256KB (valid for 3 months). Most of the time I logon in the evenings after returning from work and spend like an hour or so. Over weekends the usage goes to around 3-4 hours. I don’t download any heavy stuff. With this kind of usage, the package lasts easily for 2.5-3 months.
Initially though I faced some problems. Every 3-4 days, the network connection used to go down. What I did was, every time there was a outage, I religiously logged a compliant on their customer service number, instead of just waiting. Eventually someone took notice I think and now the connection never goes down. (BTW I think the problem was with the affiliated cable provider ICC Cable in my case)
Overall I am extremely satisfied with the quality of connection although their customer service phone menu (for e.g. if you press the button before the message ends, it just ends the call) leaves a lot to be desired.
