I had just gone to Khandala for a 2 day weekend, with my family and 2 of my relative. We stay there are Signature crest -Kunegaon. We booked 2 rooms there. The apartment is good, Cozy, very neat and clean. Room service is not at their best but good. Staff are limited. We reached there in Friday afternoon, and was directly taken to our room. They had provided hot tea / coffee immediately. After refreshing ourself we left for an evening walk near by. There is nothing but only bungalows of High profile people, surrounded by trees and hills. A very small village Kenugaon is around 500 meter, which is a very typical gaon full of cows and buffallos, but not a single shop there for tea or other snacks. We returned around 7.00 pm. Ordered for dinner. Since we have a very limited choice menu. We ordered 3 vegetables, few chapati, and rice.
No soft drinks, ice-cream etc were available. But the rate of food is very genuine and very tasty. Next day we were served by Tea/cofee and Upma, Poha, Omlet in our breakfast, Which was too very tasty. We left for Lonawala for a one day tour. We saw bushi dam, tiger point, shooting point, carla caves, return back to khandala and visited to monkey hill, sunset point. All the spot having breathtaking scene. We spent the night at our signature crest bunglow. Miling gunaji with his friends had also came on saturday there and stay just in front of our bunglow. It was a very beautiful experience. The apartment is very good. Its better if you have your own vechile. Because it is very far from Khandala railway station and means of conveyance from the resort is approx none.
I will sure plan to visit again during rainy season, because the point will at their best in rainy season. The only drawback is that there is no way to pass your time, except TV and walking here & there. They must have provided some indoor games like carom, pool, cricket kit, badminton set, etc.
