Silent Spring by Rachel Carson is one of the classic books on Eco-criticism which describes nature compromised by harmful chemicals and pesticides especially DDT which enters into the biosphere and causes much harm to different species and life forms.It is one of the best books that I have ever read.It is full of empirical evidences and information.According to Carson we men have no right to dominate nature through chemistry.Leading technology and newly discovered chemical pesticides is a threat to biodiversity.The title here is very appropriate’Silent Spring’ which denotes that spring which comes only once in a year with lots of pleasant surprises, beautiful scenery, chirruping of birds, etc has not only lost its charm n beauty but also its speaking ability.Above all, its because of we human beings.
