Time of Visit: June 2011
Approach to resort: The road leading to resort is in a bad shape and is not tarred(approx 250 meters)
Main entrance: Resort has a multi-level dining area & does not have the roof properly fixed. There are tiles covering some area, while the rest has tin sheets.
Way to cottages: Path ways are not properly lit & are slippery due to rain & moss. Extremely dangerous for kids as we had our share of accident.
Cottage: These are small rooms with manglore tile roof with attached bathroom & small sit out area. These are very poorly maintained & have damp walls. The rooms smells damp, with mattresses fungus infected. False ceiling are made of asbestos sheets & are very low(approx 8 feet high). Fans in the room are dirty. Floor is uneven & untidy. Doors are made of metal sheets with bamboo art painted on them.
Facilities: Cottages are provided with small TV & Tata Sky connection with the dish mounted on a log. So a strong wind will leave the cottages with no TV.
Food: Food is oily but tasty. Food quality is good, but be careful of bugs nearby(Location issue).
Swimming Pool: Tadpoles & frogs frequently visit this place. The staff tried hard to clean it but were successful only for few hours.
Location: The location is quite remote & there are no nearby decent resorts, so be careful on what you choose.
Staff: Staff is helpful, but cannot compensate for the sorry state of affairs.
Other Facility: Stair way to the Tree house is broken & is not accessible. There are couple of swings with red ant hills just underneath.
Verdict: Not recommended for family with Kids. We booked the resort for 2 nights but moved out after a night. Please be aware that there are no chances of refund, so be sure of what you are getting into.
