Silent Valley Corporate Resort

I am detailing the plus and the minuses. Decide yourself.

Positiveness:

Overall experience is good because of the following.

1. We were the only guest in the hotel. So really enjoyed the silentness of the silent valley without chaos.

   
   




2. Being the only guest attracts special attraction, hence it was positive.

   
   




3. Manager, Mr Bhatt was nice.

   
   




4. Food quality was good.

   
   




5. It rained heavily during our stay, in the evening amidst rain, with a bottle of whisky and friends/wife, it was an amazing one.

   
   




6. The return journey, early morning via chikmangalore was awesome.

   
   




7. If you think, the enjoyment lies outside of the room/resort and you are not interested in getting the true value return of your money, then it’s for you. It’s for travellers, not tourists.

   
   




8. The location of the property is good, very good.

   
   




9. Swimming Pool was clean.

   
   

Negativeness:

1. Very Very overly priced property. Rooms/cottages are worth of hardly 500-700 range (with no door mat/scratched mirrors/no cupboards/no chairs/single plug point) but you pay many times more than that.

   
   




2. Poorly maintained property, but we heard the management have been changed days back, so it might improve.

   
   




3. Food quantity was not adequate.

   
   




4. Never take the road via Mudigere. It’s bone crashing for urself and for the vehicle also. The other road via Bellur-->Chikmangalore-->Balhunnur-->Magundi-->Kalasa is a charm.

   
   




5. Being garden resort, pest control should be more adequate.

   
   




6. No recreational facility. Indoor/outdoor sport equipments are nearly/almost unusable.

   
   




7. No proper Hotel register was there, and so was the bill. It’s highly surprising even though they told it’s because mgmt has changed. But it’s sheer black money without any proper receipts.

   
   




8. If you are a perfectionist and think you should get what you are paying for, it’s not

   
   

for you.

1. I have never seen any pork dish comprising of only pork fat without the meat and that too in micro/nano level pieces.

   
   




2. I will repeat my previous point, it’s for travelers, not tourists.

   
   

This review is for the Silent valley resort, not Kudremukh. You can get details about the location in any travel portal. It’s not bad, be careful of the leeches if you go  off road. I can/should visit it again.
