I’m writing here to warn u about the staff of **Silhouette Beauty Parlour, Koramangala, Bangalore. **The parlour’s at good location + looks good so I thought of giving it a try. They have displayed L’oreal products everywhere. It was full of clients then.
*Nov ’07** - I had just moved to Bangalore and this was my first time in a parlour at Bangalore. . . That experience was awesome as the women who did my hair ( cutting + highlighting ) did an awesome job. They charged me Rs. 2000/- then.
*March ’08 **- Coz of my previous experience I went again for a hair cut + highlighting. By This time that women had joined elsewhere. I asked how much they would charge and they asked for Rs.2500/- for coloring. I told them last time I had paid Rs. 2000/- and no budget to pay more then that. After 2 - 3 minutes of bargaining, they agreed. . Not a single client was there except for me. . I tried with the new staff who last time did my pedicure. I was foolish enuf to give them a chance.
I had Blond and Red which had faded. **I asked them to give me honeyblond color all over which is 1 tone darken then blond **. No hair cut this time. They washed my hair and applied color. I’ve got done hair colors before and usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour after color application. They made me sit with color for 3 hours.
*After 3 hours*** - **To my shock and major disappointment, they colored my hair dark brown which was my natural hair color once. I was really upset at that point . The staff who did my color argued that they used the correct tone color but it came out different.** Anyhow after much argument they both agreed and appologised.
*Time for payment **- When I went to the counter, they produced a **bill of Rs.2700/- , Rs.2500/- for color + Rs. 250. for head bath** before coloring to remove excess oil. Payment for head bath wasn’t told earlier and I didn’t bother to ask as I’ve never been charged at any other parlor. Anyhow **I paid Rs.250/- but refused to pay Rs.2500/- as the color they did wasn’t the one I asked for. *
The woman incharge started shouting that my hair have the color that I asked for. I asked her to compare my hair with the sample hair. There was no match. She kept saying they both are same and asked me to pay. I refused. I asked her to randomly ask 10 people from street if the color matched. I told her if anyone would agree, I would pay.
To my shock, ***she shouted abusing me... F*** O***, B****, M**** F**** and what not. The "CAT Fight" begun.*** There’s a guy who I believe is a ***helper there tried to hit me. I held his hand and slapped him warning him that i’ll call police.*** After I slapped him, there was no more word from there end. I told them I would have paid Rs.1000/- if they had decently accepted their fault. Now I would not pay a single penny and left.
I asked for the owner, who probably wasn’t there or didn’t wanna come. No matter how big a parlor you open, if you don’t have respect for your customers and don’t provide the service u promise, it’s bound to Fail sooner or later.This was my experience. Good luck with yours.
