I came to Pune recently. While on the lookout for the hotels, I was introduced by a friend to Silk Route at Koregaon Park. Initially, when I visited this place (about 4-5 times) everything was smooth. Later on, one day when I went there, the service was so poor( Not even the basic courtesy to fill water glass) that it was down right insulting.
The waiters were all attending to other guests and none came to us even when called. It was as if ’OK, this guy comes every now and then; no need to take care’ attitude. When I asked, the reason given was that ’there was a private party upstairs and they have no time to attend to lesser mortals like me’. Then a man came introducing himself as owner of the place. I told the happenings to him. ’’NO REACTION’ Very surprising, is it not.
The captain was also acting funny with a mocking smile on his face evry time I tried to ask him what is going on.
I think, one cannot frequent a restaurant or this will happen. This, in spite of above average charges being paid.
I have decided never to go back to that place.
