Caller: Yep, Silverlink
A little digging on the internet shows that theyre under investigation for fraudulent postings on Glassdoor, they have multiple fake accounts on LinkedIn per employee to inflate their reported size, and very few people whove dealt with them directly have anything good to say about them. Note also that the social media profiles of their apparent employees have the appearance of having been mass-produced and are fairly light on actual detail or links to anything verifiable. Not to mention that their listed-as-Australian staff tend to have an awfully high percentage of Indian educational or personal backgrounds - not necessarily surprising for a Mumbai-headquartered company, perhaps, but it makes me wonder if either theyre not hiring local staff for some reason, or only hiring Indian-background staff, or that the only thing "Australian" about the staff are their phone numbers.
Funny how the social media profiles all say "Yes I am totally located in this major Australian city", but dont have any actual evidence of that. and an interesting number of jobs listed on SEEK under their name have significantly inflated salaries if you take the time to play with the filters. Not that I would ever accuse a recruiter of dangling inflated fake salaries in front of people to get them to jump for the "give us your CV and personal information" bait without first checking if the job actually exists, or anything.
