Change for good

I am a new user to mouth shut but after reading all the reviews here, I thought I would post one. A lot has changed with Airdeccan after it has been taken over by Kingfisher. I have travelled in airdeccan before the merger and it was the most pathetic service at that time.


Flight delayed for more than 4 hours and once you get in the plane everybody struggles and runs to catch seats. I think Indian railway has better system than this. Its just like a general compartment in a train. And the entire plane shakes violently during flight maybe due to its age.


But now a few things have changed. After the merger, they are alloting seat numbers to all pessenger. You can also request for a desired seat on the counter, they will give it to you if its available. The cabin crew is very courteous and helpful.


The Mumbai - Chennai flight was delayed for over 30 mins after boarding but the captain made sure to inform us that its not because of Deccan, its because the ATC is not giving permission to fly and 7 flights are waiting before us.


The food that you need to purchase was good and fresh. Once when my wife, my two year old son and my grandfather were travelling on air deccan, they made sure they gave them seats in the first row and provided all support for mother and the child. So not everything is still bad. They are improving. The only thing that lacks is leg space and inflight entertainment like Kingfisher but with the price you pay, you get more than you deserve with AIR DECCAN. Cheers!
