Just finished a trip to Kerala (Nedmubassery airpt) by Air Deccan from BLR.
Awesomely both flights were absolutely on time... ON THE DOT!!!! :-) Same experience for my brother on BLR-MUM sector twice now.
There is nothing much else really that I expect from a lowcost carrier. Let me rate my priorities and how Air Deccan curretnly performs on them:

basic courtesy (ie. no rudeness or bad behaviour)
Air Deccan does quite OK now here too.
policy on delays/ rescheduling.
If they keep up their "free tickets" offer for delays exceeding 3 hrs, that will keep up the pressure on them to keep it under 3hrs and they seem to be doing quite OK now. They already have rescheduling facility for delays exceeding 2 hrs.
The only thing they NEED to do is to allow the affected passenger(s) to reschedule both up & down trips. For some insane reason they only allow you to reschedule the UP trip if that is delayed. How do you reach there to take the DOWN trip- teleport Harry Potter style?

Thats it really. I dont expect inflight meals/ enterntainment, modelling airhostesses etc. at my budget pricing.
While I have earlier recommended a bus service over AirDeccan on BLR-Cochin (re: https://mouthshut.com/review/Air_Deccan-105163-1.html) and that was valid at that point of time, it really is a different story now.
