Fights getting Rescheduled

Air Deccan has started (or due to some other reasons), getting the flights rescheduled.


I had a ticket for 23 October which is a Monday after Diwali. The ticket was from Delhi to Pune and was scheduled departing at 9 am from Delhi. It was to reach Pune around 11. I had to join my office and had a client meet at 12 noon. I had booked my tickets well in advance (around 2.5 months back) to avoid paying heavy. One day I was just cross checking the pnr on the website and , to my surprise, I found the flight is rescheduled to 4 pm. This was a disgust. They never even tried to call on my cell, and leave asking my consent, they never asked me if I have to change my itenary and they can give any sight on this. Well its true that they are low cost flights but does it mean that they will do such things. What if somebody is coming as a chief guest on some function, or somebody has a doctors appointment, or too the worst somebody wants to visit Pune for 2-3 hours and then has a flight from Mimbai to US. Atleast the customer should be informed in well advance. Now if I go to get some other tickets, they will be more than double costly.


When asked to the customer care, they will easily say that we tried your cell but it was switched off. Can they give a further clearence on this that email is also given for the same. In addition when they try for special offers, they never find the cell phone switched off.


These things matter a lot in service Sector.


Hence the people who have their prior appointments, be warned with my example. For the people, who are going for vacation or somelike that, where 6-7 hours delay doesnt matter, go ahead.
