I flew Air Deccan, Chennai-Hyderabad sector, at first I was doubtful about the plane the ATR, and the services. But after a little research on the web I was satisfied about the aircraft, supposed to be very safe and reliable. The service from Air Deccan was good, very easy to book tickets online via credit card, good price, and they do keep you informed via SMS on your mobile about your flight timings. That’s very useful. I checked in without any problem, though was wondering how a print out at home would help me, but it did and got me into the airport also. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The actual plane journey was comfortable too, did ’buy’ the sandwich on the plane, was not that great, but up the in the skies you don’t have much choice do you? The plane ride was very smooth, but does get a little scary when it hits air pockets, its a tiny plane compared to Airbus and not a jet. Otherwise it was fine, the plane reached on time, in fact before. On the whole a pleasant experience. So go ahead and ’’simply fly’’ no probs. Its really value for money and saves time. So who cares for little delays! ;-) And if you flight is late imagine what would the experience be if your train was late, waiting on a hot station platform. I think we should encourage cheap air travel.
