This review is for those who believe that some good needs to be there even in a low cost product. Which I believe was envisaged by those who began it. But then, my experience tells me something else. Having flown once. I decided that I will now fly the airline only if I cant afford the others or if there is no other alternative. Heres my experience.
At the check in counter: A bored expression awaited me. No professionalism at all. A typical Indian bank clerk mentality: Hey Im doing you a favor dont you know?
In the cabin: Well I think even the snobbishness of the Indian Airlines airhostesses was put to shame. After all the feeling is, why should we bother about these lowly people. Bad. Thats the word. I am never so critical but I cant restrain myself.
The inflight paid catering. Again a big favor from the airhostesses. You were made to feel like some unwanted person simply bothering with their time, so what if yu paid the money for it. It wasnt much anyway.
Seat reservation: Run if you want a choice seat. Chances are that somebody has already booked the seat even before you reach it with a book flung there or a newspaper, etc. Multiple booking is allowed.
My advice to those who run the airline - buck up. if you dont the riff raff who cant afford air travel will only fly it. come on guys, I dont think a little more service will harm you. Strict instructions to the staff will do the trick. a sea-change in attire is called for. that wont cost you much anyway. A little effort to run on schedule will help as I usually see the board saying flt. delayed. Anyway thanks for beginning the trend of low priced air travel. I can now travel on my favorite airline at less than half I used to pay earlier.
