Lots of improvement with Air Deccan

Traveled with Air Deccan recently Bangalore - Mumbai - Bangalore and Bangalore-Kolkota-Bangalore. They are for sure improved a lot, I have traveled at least 15 times in the past but the last 4 times (after July 2007) they were Excellent in punctuality. There were many more Air Deccan staffs now but most of them were not up to the mark in handling customer’s requirement.


Good side:


They allot seat number during check in.


Distribute free 1/2 ltr water bottle in-flight


95% on time punctual (very surprising)


Food sold in the flight was decent.


Light Music played in-flight


Baggage handling was good


Other information like outside weather, height, speed and important cities during flying hrs announced time to time.


Not so good:


The ground staffs need more training


Some of the in-flight attendants are rather rude or don’t bother to help


I saw a young lady grumbling through out the flight journey for simple reasons like the bus which took us to the plane was fully loaded and no place to sit, when the flight attends went around asking for change for the food they sold and when there was 5 mins delay in adjusting the ladder for the people to get down from the plane after landing. And I also saw many of the customers making unnecessary comments about the airlines and taking it for grated.


But surely Air Deccan is giving its customers much more than they had paid for the ticket.


I will definitely fly Air Deccan at first choice.  Air Deccan is value for money.
