I have travelled with air-decaan 5 time and my generic experience is somewhat average.Let’s start from start.Price/Booking of Ticket: (4/5) - The price of the ticket is cheaper compared to jetairways, indian and kingfisher but probably equivalent to indigo and goair. - Website is smooth running and ticketing through website is comfortable experience. But remember any mistake while ticketing and you will be charge hefty sum to change info. While booking for my mother, dur to software error ( some refresh issue) , it took the name as Mr. instead of Mrs. When called and asked them to correct it, they charge me around 400 bucks ( 200 per ticket) which left bad taste in mouth. - But overall cheap and easy to book .
Departure Airport Services(Checkin counter and departure ) (1/5) :- Poor service . Very less attendent to manage stuff.- Also, not even listen to request for aisle seat even I was among the first one to checkin. - Also, they ferry you to plane in crowded bus. They took the farthest possible parking for airplane , so need to travel in corwded bus for almost 10-15 mins. - Also, extreme delays in flights which is very regular. extreme annoyance.
You may end up waste a whole day if you booked from air-deccan.In flight service (2.5/5)- Flight attendents are poor in response and doesn’t behave properly.- Food is to buy but of nice quality.- Water is not free which is in contrast of indigo which runs on same line of deccan but gives free water.Arrival service (2/5)- Long wait for baggage claim.- bagagge missing or delayed is very common.Overall, its a cheap airline but thats all it is. Don’t expect much from it. Also, flight delay is the biggest and consistent issue.
