I had an oppertunity to travel with Air Deccan Flight 602 from Delhi to Bangalore on 12 June 2007 .I did the booking 1 month before and got the tickets at Rs 3500/-(Approx).I have heard a lot about Air Deccan as a low cost airways which give to right value for your money.
But I think its only low cost that too some times not always.Service offered was very poor.So please dont expect full value of ur money.
Flight was on time and checkin was fine.Then came the Air Deccan Bus took us to our flight.Till this time everything went fine.But when I entered in the Air Craft I was surprised to see that Air Hostess was on the main door for welcome but was not welcoming all the guests.No information was provided about free sitting.I have travelled earlier also so I knew but some people faced the difficulties.Then came the real problem.
All passengers were told that back seats cant be adjusted up or down.Some old aged passengers were finding very difficult to sit.When we enquired from Cabin Crew they informed that in this Air Bus seats can not be adjused.
Then as usual no water service is there , even packaged water for selling by Crew came after 40 minutes of my sitting in flight. Air conditioning was not good during first 30-40 minutes so it was abit hot inside.Then flight took off but with lot of jerks it looked like I am travelling in an Roadways Bus.
As passengers used the lavatories so smell was coming out in the plain.No crew member tried to use a bathroom refreshner.
After reaching bangalore laggage was also not delivered on time but thats comman in all the flights these days so I wnot blame Deccan for this
Over all it was not a good experience.
