For the last 4 hours I have been trying to buy 5 tickets on Air Deccan on the Internet and have not been successful.
I tried it on the internet using Firefox and after I put in all passengers name and date of birth etc and pressed continue it gave me an error - header error.
So I switched to Internet Explorer and re-entered all the information. It went to the credit card screen and kept "Processing" for 45 minutes without giving any error.
Finally, I picked up the phone and called Air Deccan Delhi Phone number, it gave an error that lines are busy. So I called Bombay number and was able to talk to a person who said that price on the phone will be higher. I agreed to pay the higher prices but then he said he could not sell me the tickets since I am using an International credit card.(I am in USA). International credit cards are accepted over the internet only. I asked to speak to the supervisor. The person came back and said that the supervisor is too busy to talk to a customer. The systems are all working fine and I should re-try it. It could be a problem with my bank and so I should call my bank. I was told that the name of the supervisor is Saritriya in Bangalore office.
I tried again with three different credit cards. Each time I got the same error saying that the transaction could not be processed due to an error. All my credit cards are in good standing. Clearly Air Deccan system to process the international credit card is not working.
I now have no way of purchasing their tickets by phone or by internet.
