AirDeccan should rename itself as Air Disaster UNPROFESSIONAL, UNENTHICAL AND RUDE is wht AirDeccan is all about, i had booked my cousin and his wife for a flight from Aurangabad to Bombay as they were heading to the FarEast ie: Singapore and Malaysia the same night for thier honeymoon and had a international connection from Mumbai, on the 10th Afternoon 3hrs before the flight my brother got a call from AirDeccan Stating "Sir You Air Deccan Flight is Cancelled Today" these were the eight words tht lady said over the phone and hung up.
My brother called them back and was informed the flight had been cancelled due to operational reasons and they can choose travel on another date or take a full refund.so I called Air Disaster again and the lady at their customer care was extremely rude and was literally shouting on me.when I told her tht instead of me shouting on her.she was shouting on me.So she said tht was the way she spoke.i was like wow
I had no choice but to cancell the tickets and take a refund while processing the refund she informed I would not get back the transaction fee which only amounted to Rs 100/- when asked why werent they refunding the transaction fee, she said this was the policy.when I argued she created a case and gave me a case id.its not the matter of Rs 100 but ethics.why should they not refund the transaction fee if they had cancelled the flight.when asked about getting us on another flight the same evening as there was a jet airways flight a little later in the evening she declined
A few months back Airdeccan made huge claims of having a tie-up with Jet Airways in such scenarios, this was much before Kingfisher took a stake in AirDeccan, the call centre rep declined there was no such tie up, out of no choice and not in a mood to argue anymore with tht illiterate lady, I had to book my brother and his wife on the Indian Airline flight the same evening on a very expensive fare.
Once before they on the same sector they did not accept my luggage as I was late to check in by one minute, they gave me the option to fly without luggage so I chose to do so.i had to call for my baggage by the next jet airways flight.if their flights get cancelled or delayed you should adjust but if the passenger gets late by a minute they wont accept your luggage even at a small airport like Aurangabad where u can view the luggage being loaded and offloaded from the aircraft, from the check in counter but they dont want to simply do it.
We have now sworn never to fly by Airdeccan again in our life, unless you dont much to do in life and dont have any appointments to attend You Can FLY THEM coz they will end up loosing your luggage or cancell the flights, cheap Fares surely does not mean HORRIBLE SERVICE and off late they have not been very affordable too.also they will charge you Rs 50 for two slices of bread and a pc of sliced cheese which they claim a cheese sandwich.
i have been a frequent flier with major indian and international airlines but they are the WORST
there are much better options available so think wisely a couple of hundred rupees spent more will save you a MIGRAINE ATTACK.
