I travel frequently on air and air deccan has provided the worst experiences till date. As of today, none of my flights on air deccan have ever taken off on time or landed on time- each time there is a delay with a minimum of 30 minutes upto 6 hours-Yes 6 hours I was stranded at Hyderabad airport waiting for a flight to Bangalore.


Whenever you ask for a clarification as to why there are delays, the answer would be "saar(sic), we are a low cost airline and this is the best we can do". Being a low cost airline is like a licence to these people to mismanage the customers’ trips.


Today morning I had to fly from bangalore to coimbatore-and I receive a call informing me the flight has been cancelled and i’ll need to either cancel the ticket or reschedule the ticket for a different flight. I asked the person who called me to inform this as to when the next flight is and her answer in an indifferent tone was "call the call center".


Their call center is another experience. I had to wait for 30 minutes to get to talk to an agent and the answer I get from her is "sir, the systems are down. I cannot cancel your ticket now. call after half an hour". I waited for more than 2 hours and called them again -another 30 minutes to talk to an agent and he says "Sir, the systems are going through an upgrade. so if you cancel now, you’ll be charged Rs.100 as transaction charges". so I book a ticket and the airlines cancels the flight and yet somehow, I need to pay Rs.100/- for a flight that I never took.


My advice: Dont ever travel on this airline unless it is extremely critical you travel and no other airline is able to accomodate you.
