Hello, learners who are considering enrolling in Simplilearn,
If you are looking for an online learning platform to enhance your skills and knowledge, I feel obligated to share my recent experience with Simplilearn. I hope my review can help you make an informed decision.
First and foremost, I must admit that I had high expectations when I signed up for Simplilearns courses. The marketing materials and promises of comprehensive learning opportunities were appealing. However, I regret to inform you that my experience with the platform has been less than satisfactory.
I am writing to share my personal experience with the platform, from how it began to how it ultimately ended up in disappointment. As someone interested in cybersecurity, I came across an advertisement for Simplilearns courses on YouTube. Having heard about Simplilearn multiple times, I believed it to be a reliable platform offering mentor-led courses with practical expertise. Intrigued, I expressed my interest in enrolling.
Shortly after, within 24 hours, I received a call from a Simplilearn agent. They elaborated on the course details and the benefits I would receive upon enrollment. However, when I inquired about the price, I was taken aback as it was a hefty sum of around 100, 000 INR. Due to financial constraints, I asked for some time to think it over. The agent assured me of the option to cancel the course subscription if it failed to meet my expectations, and they promised guaranteed placement opportunities with leading MNCs, boasting ties with 500+ top companies.
After two months, I was contacted again by another agent, offering a 30% scholarship as an incentive to enroll. Intrigued by the offer, I decided to pay for the course through EMIs. However, due to my age, I was initially ineligible for EMI processing. They suggested I provide someone elses PAN card details, which I firmly refused. Despite repeated calls and pressure, I held off until I became eligible for EMI.
Finally, on the day of my birthday, I qualified for EMI processing. A Simplilearn agent called me, stating that my profile still qualified for the 30% scholarship and convinced me to pay 65, 000/- only. Driven by my interest and the ongoing recession, I convinced my parents to help cover the cost. The agent swiftly guided me through the EMI process without allowing me to read the terms thoroughly.
In the following days, I had a chance to access the course content and was disappointed with what I found. The instructional videos merely read out the content, and it seemed the instructors lacked expertise in the subject matter. I decided to cancel the course, but when I reached out to my Point of Contact(POC) named NIMIL, I faced resistance. They claimed I had to wait for the course to begin and the EMI date to pass before initiating a cancellation request.
Despite raising multiple tickets and contacting customer support, my requests were disregarded or cancelled for alleged duplicacy. When I finally reached the Gravince team, their responses were limited to one per day on weekdays, and they cited the 7-day cancellation window as their reason for denial. I argued that I hadnt completed the course content or the necessary payment to be ineligible for a refund, but they continued to refuse.
In the process of attempting to cancel my course request, I stumbled upon a shocking revelation – Simplilearn had not actually tied up with any reputable companies, despite their claims. Instead, they merely uploaded student profiles to the "iim jobs" portal, a platform similar to LinkedIn. This deceitful tactic exposed their fraudulent practices, as they tricked students into paying for courses based on false promises.
It is disheartening to realize that everything they presented was a fabrication. Their claims of collaborating with top companies and ensuring guaranteed placements were nothing more than smoke and mirrors. These dishonest tactics seem to be behind their ability to maintain positive ratings and favorable reviews on online platforms, including YouTube. They cunningly hide their true colors to lure unsuspecting individuals into their traps.
I reached out to the customer support team multiple times, but they offered no resolution. Instead, they stopped picking my calls and responding to my messages. The situation led to negative consequences for my credit score as I was unable to pay the disputed 65, 000 INR.
In light of my ordeal, I caution all learners to be wary of such fraudulent platforms. There are plenty of free learning resources available online, such as YouTube channels dedicated to specific courses or skills. If you seek certifications, platforms like Udemy and Coursera offer courses at more reasonable prices than Simplilearn.
I have filed a case against Simplilearn in the consumer court, and I urge you all to be cautious with online services. Do not trust these morons and scammers blindly; demand written proof before committing to any online platform.
To anyone considering enrolling with Simplilearn, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of exercising extreme caution. Do not trust these individuals or their false promises. Their actions are deceptive and exploitative, and they have no qualms about preying on eager learners who seek genuine opportunities for personal and professional growth.
I hope my experience serves as a warning to others, and I urge you to look elsewhere for reputable online learning platforms that genuinely prioritize their students interests and education. Trustworthy alternatives exist, and with a bit of research, you can find platforms that offer valuable courses and certifications without resorting to dishonest tactics.
