Travelling on Singapore Airlines, a Star Alliance partner can be a gamble. It does not have a median rating as you may have seen in other reviews as well. On a good day [for you], its fantabulous but on a bad day its eeeeeeeeeeeeksss
Priced very competitively for Asia-Pacific travel. Excellent deals for that special honeymoon to Australia or just a family vacation around Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Bali etc. Their tours very aptly are called WOW. A little market research will reveal that with 2 people flying, this airline has very well priced airtickets as well as WOW packages.
They hv a wonderful Raffles Class section named after Lord Raffles, the mastermind architect of Singapore. Now coming to your odds in terms of a good day or bad day. Like many 21st century Singaporeans, the native cabin crew is yet to come to terms with the true meaning of the word Customer Service.
Like the English Babu system in India, dont be surprised if you dont get a few stares by the native cabin crew though the non-Singi crew is much more desirable. Obviously you dont wanna feel like an untouchable having saved bucks for that dram vacation
To sum it up, economical, comfortable aircraft but not so pleasant customer service. Its better to catch up with sm sleep on SQ bcoz....Ignorance is bliss
