Everything about Singapore

First about a place called Sentosa islands in Singapore!

This is a one-stop multimillion-dollar leisure and recreation resort with swimming lagoons, wax museums, butterfly parks, two beaches, several golf courses, musical fountains, and an underwater world with see-through tunnels. Sentosa is Singapore’s most popular attraction, drawing over one million annual visitors - almost half of them from abroad - who consider Sentosa simply, a well-planned amusement park with a strong Asian theme.

To reach Sentosa, one has to take a cable car. A travel which will last for half hour. The car moves at 250 ft from the ground and gives u a real awesome panaromic view of Singapore.

In Sentosa the first to spot will be the MERLION. It has the head of the lion and the body of the fish. This 11-storey high mythological creature, the official mascot of Singapore, is a great engineering marvel. Visitors can ride elevators up through the statue for a bird’s eyeview of the island. At night, concealed fiberoptic lighting imparts a glowing silhouette to the statue, while laser beams shoot from the eyes and smoke filters out from the nostrils.

This S$20 million virtual reality theme park has simulated interior of an active volcano. This place is called Volcono land. Visitors can also watch movies about valcanoes, and witness a simulated eruption from a man-made voncano, one of only three in the world. The eruptions take place every 30 minutes.

Next is the best ever musical fountain u will ever get to c. This is dancing water show controlled by mainframe computers. Evening shows are very lovely as lighting and laser effects are added. The show lasts for about an hour. The biggest shock in this fountain was that, they display animations over flowing water and smoke. The toughest to do. The animation was dam clear. No shaky effects at all. This was simply outstanding.

Fantasy islands is Aisa’s largest water theme park, includes six swimming pools and 32 water slides of which five are rated ’’aggressive . for guests who have no medical restrictions’’ and two rated ’’high thrill .stressful for those who fear heights, high speeds or enclosed spaces’’. A great place for the kids.

Underwater world. Asia’s largest tropical oceanarium features an 83 meter submerged acrylic tunnel called the ’’travelator’’, which carries you past some 5, 000 marine creatures from more than 400 species. The experience is stunning: huge sharks glide past your face, moray eels peer from dark crevices, and giant turtles sail over your head. You’ll also see stingrays, eagle rays, dangerous lionfish, deadly and well-camouflaged stonefish, unicorn fish and several endangered turtles.

Beaches. Sentosa offers three beaches. Siloso Beach and Tanjong Beach are reserved strictly for swimmers. Central Beach features a swimming lagoon, as well as a boating lagoon where you can rent a variety of watercraft including aquabikes, canoes, and banana boats.

The other things in Sentosa were… sky towers, butterfly park, Fort siloso(a wax museum kind). These were also gr8…. But when compared to the others this was nothing.

Finally there was a Dolphin show. This was ok. Not GR8.

Overall a memorable experience for visitors from around the world and a favourite leisure destination for Singaporeans. Provides world class entertainment, exciting attractions, friendly service and island appeal, Sentosa strives to be the market leader in the Singapore tourism industry.

We have been to TOP SLIP. That’s the worst ever safari u can visit. There we saw Leopard And finally we saw 2 snakes… but this was down right absolutely different…. Here I saw a leopard sleeping and growling in front of me… only natural barriers…. no cages. this is the best safari in the globe!

The drama and mystery of the tropical jungle comes alive after dusk, at the world’s premier Night Safari. Creatures from South America, Asia, & India greet visitors from their own naturalistic enclosures, which simulate that of their own homeland. Cant forget the awesome giraffes towering over the gorgeous reservoir, the rare clouded leopards, endangered greater Asian rhinoceros and of course the feisty fishing cats. Walking Trails- Fishing Cat, romantic Forest Giants or come face to face with free flying bats at the Leopard Trail. It’s world’s first and only night-time safari park. Its state-of-the-art animal enclosures use natural barriers rather than bars of cages to divide the animals and their human visitors. This is basically a place to view the nocturnal life of animals. The best of its kind. The lighting is artificial but gives a real natural moonlight effect. Scintillating lighting. Night Safari is Singapore’s most successful and popular new attractions, drawing a large crowd almost every night of the week. An amazing experience.

Can u imagine a lion/leopard 10 ft away lukin at u? that is wat it is! U might think the animal might pounce on u… it is highly probable… but along with the natural barriers there are lotsa technology protections…. There is a camera all throu the artificial jungle monitoring the movements of the animals… if they sight an animal moving towards the watchers, there is a laser light illuminating every where and it spreads for a 200 mts like fire… immed the animal gets back into the jungle without affecting the viewers. it was amazing to c tat happen!

We have been to natural forest areas like Mudumalai or top slip to c animals… we more often return with disappointment, having seen may b juz an elephant…but here u name the creature and u can c it live without any barrier! Ultimate…

Next on the list will be JURONG Bird Park! Bird park sounds very boring…. this is exactly wat I thought …. But ur impression will change when u c it or may be when u read my next mail! Heheehehe

Jurong Bird Park

This is an unbelievable bird park. This is huge…. It has large open concept displays, 3 large walk in aviaries for birds from throu out the world! More than a million visitors a year! Can u believe tat? There is this biggg open space for birds where u can feed them…. Whn I was feeding the parrots they sat on my hand. I was clowed by 3 parrots on the hand… initially frightening, but was gr8. other highlights about this park is that it has the largest walk-in aviary, tallest man made water fall, worlds first AC tram train to enter a station within an aviary, largest collection of birds, world’s best ever bird show. The birds say 1 – 100 in English and mandarin. amazing isn’t it? In the bird show the birds sang in chorus “Happy b’thday….” really cool and beautifully trained! This was Jurong Bird Park!

Haw Par Villa

U guys must have surely heard of TIGER BOMB. this is the place where tiger bomb owner lived and he decided to make this place into one explaining the Chinese culture/10 quotes of hell in Chinese mythology! In English, Haw Par Villa translates as Villa of the Tiger and Leopard. The park’s colorful collection of over 1, 000 statues and 150 giant tableaux centered around Chinese folklore, legends, history, and

Confucian ideology. Morality tales included classic battles between good and evil and tributes to Chinese cultural heroes such as the famous pugilist Wu Song, who tamed a ferocious tiger with his bare hands.

Scowling 7, 000-kg gorilla, A monstrous sumo wrestler, The Statue of Liberty, The Ten Courts of Hell, Water Gardens and live fishes and many others. This is a very gud snapshot place for photo-lovers.

Overall Singapore is a highly developed tourist place. Easily one of the best in the world and one of the most frequently visited places in the globe.
