Singapore a Must Visit

I had been to Singapore several times before my last visit, which lasted for over 9 months. In these nine months I travelled the length and breadth of Singapore.

Honestly Singapore is a tourist "Must" attraction.

The best part of being in Singapore is that it is rear about completely safe(nothing is perfect neither is Singapore). I found Singapore to be on expensive side, and it being a first world country it should be.

Many people go on package tours, however like me being me I have always traveled and explored by myself. There is a lot said of Singapore every where, my 2 paise in it.

Must Dos:

1) Visit Sentosa(make it a full day)

2) Visit Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and Jurong Bird Park(there are offers on combined tickets ask for it)

3) Visit Botanical Gardens(its a wonderful place)

4) Visit Orchard Road for Window shopping(avoid Sundays it is overcrowded)

5) Visit Mustafa Center(Avoid Sundays you will gasp for your breath)

6) Enjoy local food(Chinese and Malay, only if you are NOT a vegetarian). Try eating at Food Courts and Hawker centers avoid restaurants, they give you the same thing at a much higher price.

7) Look for shops that sell at lower rates, compare multiple shops, specally in Chinatown and Little India.

8) Use Public transport like bus and trains, unless you have to travel post mid night then there is no choice but take a taxi. The bus and train services start from 6 am to upto midnight(at some places)

Donts:

1) Dont point a finger at anyone, object or place it is considered abusive

2) Dont buy electronics you still have to pay duty when you are back here in India.

3) There are many people who may want to turn up and help you specially in Little India or Chinatown dont give into them. For help turn to local police or public transport staff.

4) Dont buy any electronics from CHinatown, SIM LIM Square, Little India or Orchard Road. If you do be 100% sure you will be duped.

5) Dont Drink too much and create a ruckus in Singapore, you will fined, jailed and caned

6) Singapore is a fine city, you break the laws everything starts with a fine.

Another benefit is if you are travelling to Singapore on your own(not on package tour), then you might as well take a Malaysian Visa, You can enter Malaysia by bus from Singapore and also travel upto KL.

Make sure you have a multi entry Visa to Singapore if you have to return or else you can enter Singapore and leave from Malaysia. If you want to explore further you can also go all the way to Thailand from Malaysia, by bus or train.

Well I think thats good enough for now. If more information is required add a comment. I know Singapore like I know the back of my hand.
