I went along with my wife for 5 N/6D in tour conducted by THOMAS COOK on 14.3.2017 . My experiences about the trip are stated below:
PEARL INTERNATIONAL Hotel in KUALA LUMPPUR, MALAYSIA was quite good, Located at a prominent location . The breakfast served by the hotel was quite good and room was quite spacious
Tourist guide was quite knowledgeable about MALAYSIA as he was born and brought up there
The Tour Manager, MS. SHEETAL K co-operated with anyone and explained points of interest to us, which was
appreciated by all the members of our group
4. Coaches arranged by Thomas Cooks partners were luxurious and comfortable with polite captains/drivers
- However visit to GENTING HIGHLANDS( BEST place to visit in MALAYSIA) was not included in the trip and
only 8 people opted to go there by paying 212 RINGGITS each - My suggestion, it should be included in the
itinerary of trip as then everyone will enjoy visit to private resort built about 6000 feet above mean sea level
- The tourist guide in association with tour manager showed us all placed on interest in Kuala Lumpur
7. However on 16.3.2017, we were driven to JOHOR BAHRU( malaysia-singapore border) which is very time
consuming and stop over in MALACCA was the worst including so called river cruise - Foul smell emanated from
river, which was unbearable
8 We spent night in SILKA hotel, JOHOR BAHRU, which is nothing as compared to Pearl International hotel
9 Breakfast served in the hotel was bare minimum, none of us appreciated it
10 . Next day, we started for SINGAPORE, our tour manager briefed up for quick immigration, it did not take more than
one hour to gain entry to Singapore
- We checked in PINNACLE HOTEL, budget hotel situated in JALAN BESAR, Singapore, very near to Little India
where number of Indian Restaurants are located, best & most reasonable among them is ANAND BHAWAN restaurant
- We were taken for Singapore city tour by very professional Malay tourist guide who also took us to
SANTOSA ISLAND
- However visit to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS and sea world were not part of itinerary and we were asked to arrange cabs and spend 62 Singapore Dollars each for enjoying rides - My suggestion, it should be included in itinerary as then everyone will enjoy it
14, We were also taken for LASER SHOWS in one of the best MALLS of Singapore - MARINE BAY SANDS
On the whole, tour was very well organised, we enjoyed thoroughly at most reasonable prices
