My advice for anyone to make a trip to singapore is summed up in the title I chose.It should be short and sweet!
for most indians like myself, the first thing u will notice on arriving singapore is the cleanliness, the super-organised trasportation system and by god’’look at the number of indians here’’.So anytime u wish to see a few....or a lot of indian faces or maybe eat indian food complete with the ambience, all u gotta do is take the MRT to Serangoon/Little India.
Anyway, Singapore....the best way to describe it would be to say that it is an absolute mix of cultures and you always find urself marvelling at the way people live their life here.
Travelling to singapore can be round the year though it would be best not to visit during the summer months since it gets really humid here(not to mention the rain)...yes a winter trip wud be more appropriate.accommodation is available all around and at all rates, so u can choose as per your budget.
there are a whole variety of places and sights to see in singapore...and yes ladies it is true that singapore is a shopping haven!
singapore offers a whole bunch of entertainment for people of all ages and interests .I would recommend sentosa(including the cable car ride, absolutely breath taking), going on the night safari, visiting the esplanade, For the party animals, the largest disc in asia has just opened in singapore!!!and finally...ladies.. for shopping you cud visit orchard, or peoples park or sim lim...the list goes on depending again on what you are looking for and for how much...
the best part about singapore is the travelling, it is unbelievably easy and yet remakably economical.Be it the bus services or the MRT, or cabs which are available everywhere(or a phone call away at the most)it is ridiculously simple to move around in singapore.
oh and the rain.....yes it rains here a LOT, lesser in winters and continously during the rest of the year...that is the one thing you need to be wary about on your trip, an umbrella always helps.
so anyway if u ask me, make a trip to singapore, doesnt matter who u are, bring ur family, bring ur kids, great place for couples, friends, whatever. all u need is a week and you can have a wonderful time...hey and if you have the extra time, u could swing by kuala lumpur in malaysia..its like a delhi-jaipur drive..
