The quote in economic times sums it up nicely, this is the season of silliness and it sells. The main motivation of seeing the movie was the evergreen entertainer Akshay Kumar alias Happy Singh, but alas he doesn’t do anything to impress nor anything new to be talking about.
There is no story , no script no comedy , no action. Fine actors like Yashpal Sharma and Javed jaffery are wasted. Anees Bazmi does make all out masala entertainment but this one does not seem to have any rhyme or reason. Wonder what Kiron Kher was doing in the role. Don’t tell me it was for money.
The opening dialogue itself sets the tone of the movie when other big stars of todays cinema are berated and the message Akshay Kumar is the King is blatantly pushed into audience mind. Very surprising that the opening week collections have broken all records. Since there was no substance in the movie it must surley be the hype.
