Waiting time is usually minimal even in peak dining hours. With respect to the food, the portions are large and the food is value for money. Even in terms of taste they have a lot of winners. Their Apollo fish, Crispy chilli chicken are my favourites.
Their chicken biryani is also a safe bet and they also get extra masala for the biriyani as per our taste. The ambiance is good and the place is always kept clean. It is a family restaurant plus bar kind of set up and since it is a non-smoking place you dont really get a bar kind of feeling.
They have always served nice chilled beer at a reasonable price. For any alcoholic beverage they give complimentary boiled peanuts and I like it as I dont have to wait for the starters to arrive. Weve tried several veg/non-veg starters here and they are all either good or very good.
If Ive to suggest some good ones, crispy baby corn, paneer majestic and chicken 65/chilly come to my mind. The portions are always more than ample.
For main course, I generally have fried rice or the famous Sambar Rice for which Sitara is very famous. You may think of it as just another sambar flavoured rice but Im sure you would be proven wrong when you try.
We really like the taste of the Sambar Rice, which comes with a lot of ghee in it.
Also, they provide a complimentary papad and curd rice along with it.
