I went to the movie after the hypes and my expectations were running very high. When I saw the first song Baleilakka ( a fresh, fit and slim Nayantara) I thought my decision of watching the movie was correct. But soon came the disaster. With a big banner like AVM, big director like Shankar and bigger actor like Rajni and you name the big shots they were all there - vivek, Manivannan, vadivukkarasi, ARR, Prabhudeva, Raju Sundaram, Brinda, Vairamuthu, Sujatha, KV Anand, Thotta Tharani etc etc....... this movie could have been much much better. All the hype was like a diwali cracker going kaput.
Actually the newcomers like Sriya (the most beautiful girl that I have ever seen), Raja, Salaman Pappiah (best of all) were all very good and a big pat on the back for Suman - he had not done so well even when he was young.
Even the plot taken was good but the story did not have strong incidents and did not go in depth. This movie runs not because of Shankar but because of loyal Rajni fans.
The no of songs and teh length of the fights could have been reduced to make the movie short and crisp. The never ending fights give us headaches.
Chandramukhi was any day better
Anyways AVM had struck a diamond mine and there is no doubt about it. Hope that this trio will do a good job in their next movie without this extravaganza.
But nobody can deny that this is a good feast for Rajni fans
