Skandhagiri - Its an average treking experience. It is very appealing when we see the blogs and pics showing clouds below mountain. Well the height of mountain is not so high to have clouds below it! Trekking is easy and refreshing. Not as exciting as shown in pics.
The route to hill is very nice and simple, loosing track is not easy though! And the best is at every view point the nature has provided flat boulders to sit and enjoy the view. Since we had been here during winter it was very pleasent . The sunshine was very soothing with healing fresh breeze.
It is good for one day trip. If you are starting from Bangalore, and if you start early you can enjoy this spot and reach home by 4:00 pm. The road to reach this place is also very simple and in good condition.
Another advantage of visiting this place in winter is en route there are many vineyards. So you’d definitely get to see vendors selling grapes - fresh and juices plucked directly from the vineyard.
