Not built to last

I had long been a buyer of sketcher shoes, because they were comfy and I like they’re style. However, I have recently made the decision not to continue buy. Why? Because they are not made to last. I suddenly became aware after buying my 4 pair in 2 years (Because the previous pair was not even wearable any longer) that they just don’t hold up. Their seams rip, and they’re inner lining can’t handle daily wear. However, I bought another pair, once again, because I liked the style.

I couldn’t figure out why my shoes/feet were all of sudden smelling so much. I decided to remove the insoles to wash them, and discovered to my shock, that sketchers uses CARDBOARD inside the soles of their shoes to add padding. Though the lining would feel dry, the cardboard underneath would never dry completely if the shoes got wet. It was extremely disgusting to find that shoes retailing for $100 would cheap out with the use of cardboard as padding. Not only is it not hygienic, but they clearly weren’t made to last. I’ll also add that the fake leather is already peeling. I’ve had these shoes for 2 months!
