Im 30 with skin tending towards dry in winter and oily in summer. I dont use cosmetics as such, make my own skin care products, and depend on biotique or himalaya for anything I need to buy.
There is a plethora of toners, moisturizers and so on out there, but this winter Im loving a recipe I recently cooked up.
Let us say you have a dinner date. It is winter so you need to moisturize, and you need to look nice but hate make-up. And, you are on a budget.
Wash -(I dont use soap - if I am not using home made herbal scrubs, I use Biotiques Honey gel).
Tone - Dab rose water onto face(Dabur Gulabari)
Moisturize and apply foundation - Take a fat drop of Lacto Calamine, add a small drop of plain COCONUT OIL. mix well, smooth over face.
GREAT toning and moisturizing, and lacto calamine with oil in it makes a fantastic foundation / base.
Cost - Rs. 20 for a small bottle of Gulabari, Rs. 29 for a 60 ml bottle of Lacto Calamine, and Rs. 15 for a small bottle of basic coconut oil(Parachute and clones). Rs. 65 for a month should get you great skin care and basic make up.
PLus, No side effects, no nasty chemicals(we all love lacto calamine thats been trusted for years), so you cannot go wrong.
Let me know if you liked it.
