I have always been conscious about the way I look. In our community, looks are more important than brains. I am decent looking, but am always looking for things by which I can improve my looks. I have tried everything from home remedies to cosmetic products to beauty parlour treatments.
I was searching online for treatment for skin recently, and I happened to visit https://skinworld.in
At first I thought its a foreign website(because it was so appealing), and I was about to close the page when I noticed an ad on the page which said "only Rs.599", which made me read ahead.
I gave a call on the number mentioned on the website, and took an online appointment for consultation. I was not very sure I wanted to go, because, one, their clinic is very far from my home, and two, they did not offer me a free consultation when they called me to confirm my appointment, even when I insisted(I will admit that I have taken free consulations at Kaya and VLCC and Evolve, but never took their treatment as it was so expensive and unrealistic). But since the consultation charges at skinworld were only Rs.250, I thought of giving it a try.
the best parts about my visit to skinworld were:
1) since the doc realised Id found out about them from the internet, they gave me in writing EXACTLY what treatment they have suggested for me, so that I can look it up on the internet for benefits.
2) they did not push anypackages at me.
3) they gave me a very realistic idea of what I can expect after my treatment.
4) they did a patch test for me at the time of consultation, even though id not decided whether ill take the treatment.
initially I was a little upset when they refused to give me any discount. but I suppose it was okay, because their prices are already so low.
overall, a good experience. at least, I was sure what I was getting. there were no hidden surprises about the costs, no added taxes and stuff.
I have at present taken 1 session(Ive been suggested 7 sessions), and I can see a slight difference already, although the doc told me not to expect changes after the first session, as it takes time for the skin to respond to treatment. Later on, Im also planning to take their treatment for cracked heels, which Ive had since many years.
Only problem is that I live in Andheri, which is very far from chembur. But since I need to go there only once in two weeks, and they are open on sundays, its okay.
