Lots of reviews below are for 1.2L engine, which is quite misleading about skoda fabia as a brand. I would say, if you wanna buy a skoda fabia, go for 1.6L petrol vehicle. Otherwise, please go for some other brand. 1.2L engine for such a huge built of the vehicle is too less to handle the kerb weight, and hence will find it noisy and feel very underpowered, just like i20 petrol [which is highly underpowered & useless].
I have 1.6 fabia, and I would say, it is FAB! The power it comes with - 105bhp - highest in any hatch back cars!! even i20 diesel is 90ps only [second highest powered vehicle in hatch back]! You can feel its power as soon as you release the clutch and the vehicle starts galloping ahead, even in inclinations of the road. It has all the Power and Comfort and Luxury of a sedan in hatchback. It simply floats in highways effortlessly. Even the length and width of the vehicle is just few inches less than honda city [a sedan class car].
Mileage is as good as any 1.6L engine cars, so no cribbing abt less mileage. Power and mileage is always a tradeoff which one needs to choose while buying a car. If you need greater mileage, go for Maruti and forget about all other aspects [power/comfort/luxury/built quality].
Service is a pain. They are very negligent and take lot of time to service. Needs followups.
Otherwise, all in all a very good car! you drive it, youll love it.
