This is not another review but an experience, I felt like writing after purchasing my second car as I read a lot about Honda Jazz, Punto, i20, Swift, and polo and we concluded with Fabia 1.2 Petrol. I have been driving more than a decade now and understand quite a bit about cars, I learnt on Maruti Gypsy and today I am driving a Fabia, which is truly fabulous.
I was clear about the class of the vehicle that I would buy this time - A premium hatchback and not an entry level Sedan, some audience might disagree but the feel of a sedan in this price range 6.9L on road doest even touch this level, this is a personal choice that we make. I drove all the 6 cars and I must say that Cars have come on to a long way, packed with features, gadgets, styling, technology etc etc.
The very reaosn for me to write this review is why Skoda Fabia? I am not gonna make any statements about others, but let me put on the points where we like Fabia.
First look at the car and its awesome, its muscular and at the same time looking cute. The design is inspired and put nicely in this machine(https://mouthshut.com/review/write_review.php?c), front grill gives the car a premium look, Skoda logo looks amazing. The bonnet is heavy and trust me it is:-), there are places for it to get crushed in case of an impact, ah German engineering. All four doors with premium handles and a nicley put under button to open the boot.
Letme get inside the car, black and beige interiors are in fashion and trust me it suits Fabia, front dashboard with 2DIN music system is awesome with FM, AM and CD with an Aux input. The AC vent windows are carefully kept to keep you always cool, you even have two vents for rear passengers. Two glove box is an added advantage with bulb insde. Put as many as 5 bottles in the cabin. Tilt and Telescopic steering wheel nicely put with 4 spokes, look at the quality of plastic, its amazing. It has all the standard features with a multifunction display - Trip meter, Mileage, average Mileage, second trip, digital speedometer, outside temp, Km’s for 1st service and many more.So many indicators like door open, ABS etc etc.
The seats are very good Quality, seating position is amazing, you do not feel any issues with riding, view is clear and it comes with anti glare rear view mirrors, all the passengers seats are very comfortable as heard from the passengers sitting with me.
Riding, here is what I was impressed among all the cars tested. It has a superb ride quality, acceleration, handling, corners, highway drive.its just awesome. 1.2 Lt, 3 cylender engine is tuned very good to pull this 1000kg beast.
There are other features also which we can see in the brochure but the overall package is awesome. I would also like to point out some cons which I experienced. Cabin is little noisy thans i20 and Jazz, the Car horn can be heard inside also:-). Look at i20, its placed nicely.
This is my experience so far, I will keep posting every 5000KM and this time I will write about service quality.
