I bought Skoda Octavia 3 months back. Completed 12, 000 kilo meters. We have lot of good information’s in the panel board like: 1. Outside Temperature 2. Mileage 3. Average speed 4. Time taken for the trip 5. How many kilometers will the car run with the remaining fuel in tank. There is a drawback of small sounds from here and there, especially from back doors, which irritate us. Initially it was a bearable small sound from the left side door. Between my hectic schedules I managed to take the car to the Skoda service center at Trivandrum and now I can hear the sound from both sides (STEREO). Best way is to increase the volume of your music system. I have not found anything great in the interior. Like everyone me too complains about the position of cup holder and cigarette lighter. “Need To Study Yoga”. Ground clearance is low compared to other cars in this segment. When we stop the car we can hear sounds from break like old government bus. They big thing I will always complain is “POOR A/C PERFORMANCE”. Heater works great. Guys if you are planning to travel in noon better postponed it to evening. Octavia 1.9 gives a good mileage of 20-22 km per ltr. Overall it’s an average car in this segment. There is no other diesel car in this segment to compare. Good Things: 1. Good Milage 2. Feel safety in 150 kmph speed 3. Good breaks 4. Feel very safe inside Bad Things: 1. Poor A/C 2. Poor customer service 3. Irritating sounds from here and there 4. Breaks make sounds like old government bus
