I drove the Octavia Rally Sport for the first time last week and man, what a car. Straight line acceleration is unlike anything Ive driven in India before. Very very fast, fantastic handling and superb braking. The extra amount Skoda charges for the RS, over the standard TP is well worth the moolah as for this you get a great set of mags., a sun-roof & xenons.
In terms of mods., Ive heard that the same engine can be tuned to generate 220 bhp, by changing the chipset. If anyone has tried this before, do let me know - which chip set works best and what sites this is available from. Has anyone tried playing around with the exhaust system?
Also, if there is anyone out there who knows of other interesting mods. to this car, would be real gratefull if you can send me some links / your contacts & also good garages in South India who have done stuff with Skoda’s.
