I am sharing my experience because my expectation with a brand like Skoda have been completely shattered and I have no respect for the same anymore.
I have booked Skoda Rapid 1.6Tdi from Senator Motors Pvt. Ltd.(Saki-Vihar Rd, MUMBAI) on 25th Aug with a booking amount of Rs.10, 000/-. I availed of finance option from the "So called" sister concern Volkswagen Finance Ltd. assuming it would be smooth transaction. They lingered around on our submitted documents for couple weeks and inspecting our residence place without any notice for checking validity!
We thought our trouble ended after receiving loan sanction and payment for first installment and all other charges including registration, depo charges, insurance, etc. and submitting all relevant documents for registration. But the trouble started actually after this, as they kept on pushing the registration/delivery of the car one week after another with insane reasons like Dussehra, Diwali, State elections, etc.etc.
After almost a month, with no commitment in sight from dealer Senator Motors, we tried to reach out to Skoda on their helpline and via e-mails hoping to get support from them in getting the delivery of my car. They have not been responding since more than a month. If the parent company is behaving irresponsibly what can you expect from its dealer.
Inspite of numerous mails and call to both dealer and Skoda, we are still at the same place with no communication from Senator Motors and Skoda both. My second installment have also been paid and we cannot stop ECS further. Meaning I am paying for my car for which I do not have a delivery and cannot drive!
I would seriously suggest buyers to have second thought on buying a Skoda car, even if they are not responsible if the dealer is unjustified in withholding delivery of the car for the reasons unknown to us. We are into November and I am forced to write a review so as to warn other buyers before buying Skoda. I am exploring other possible actions to get justice.
