I have a Skoda Rapid, my 3rd car. The Rapid covered approx 30k km when it developed engine problem and one of the diesel fuel injectors conked out. Replacement cost - Rs. 25k!.
Searching the internet I came to know that there is a service advisory issued on faulty injectors. To check the authenticity of the document, I called up the dealer and wrote to the skoda service manager but no reply from both. The skoda service manager replied but did not touch upon the service advisory.
If Skoda knew the injectors were faulty, why did they not actively replace the injectors? If this is not done, why did they not replace the injectors when I took the car to the dealer with the defect. Why are they mum on a simple question from my side on the issual of such a service advisory?
Pathetic response from Skoda - buy this car only if you are prepared to have defective parts and to have pathetic response when you have issues.
