The book starts with a small prologue of a conversation held about news which is going to be made public in a few hours time.
Dana Evans - a star news reporter who is a hit among all kinds of audience for she believes in reporting the news speaking from the heart instead of just talking to a screen. She’s a celebrity in her own style. She has a little son, a boy whom she saved and picked up from the war stricken Sarajevo.
The adoration for the little boy Kemal who has one of his hands blown off by a bomb and Dana is immense. She takes complete care of Kemal and struggles to make him feel secure and wanted always. Dana is very protective of Kemal and always supports him whenever she’s called to his school to talk about his misbehavior.
The action all begins when the most handsome Philanthropist of Washington, Gary Winthrop is murdered at his huge mansion by some burglars. He was the last and the fifth Winthrop to be murdered within a span of a year.
Dana is almost in shock for she had just interviewed him the previous day. The burglars had shot him from a close range apparently when Gary had tried to stop them. Gary had a huge collection of the most exclusive and unique pieces of art at his mansion and was always known for his generosity and charity in particular to Art lovers and museums.
After hearing the news of Gary, Dana begins to think that it cannot be just a death caused by burglars, there is something more to the twist in the history of the Winthrop’s family deaths for the entire family were wiped out within a year.
What could be the motive.........this is what Dana has to find out??? Who is the most deadly enemy of this family who is always known for charity and service to the people and government.

The action packed story progresses with a quick pace and every page promises you a real twist in the story and keeps the reader engrossed.
The Internet helps a lot to Dana in uncovering the story of Taylor Winthrop....the head of the Winthrop family. The fact that there was an ugly side in his life is revealed a lot in bits and pieces each time Dana turns to the Internet for help. The hits on his name unpack a series of notes which was never known to the common world, the matters which was always hushed up........the internet gives a clue to Dana as to who could be the real story behind the facade of the Winthrop.
The trips Dana makes and how technology helps her enemies to follow her, the magic and the love between Dana and Jeff is all brought out excellently by Sheldon.
I have always been a Sheldon fan and have never missed out on even a single book of his.......but The Sky is falling is certainly a master piece and an action packed thriller and can certainly be rated as one of Sheldon’s best.
