Well I saw this movie recently and let me tell u all that its DISGUSTING! It is suppose to be a horror movie but then I didnt find anything "horror" in the movie. Let me give u all some backgronder on the movie.
DIRECTOR - JAMES GUNN
PRODUCER - ERIC NEWMAN & PAUL BROOKS
CAST OF THE MOVIE -
NATHAN FILLION AS BILL PARDY
ELIZABETH BANKS AS STARLA GRANT
GREG HENRY AS JACK MACREADY
MICHAEL ROOKER AS GRANT
THE STORY - I wont need too many words to explain that. It revolves around an unnamed devil, played by Michael Rooker, wrecking havoc in a small town of Wheelsy. The only intention of the Devil being to devour all life on earth. As for every bad there is one good, so the male protagonist comes into picture. This role is played by Nathan Fillion who is the Chief-Of-Police and the one fighting the evil. Our very cute Elizabeth essays the role of Starla, the devils wife. At first she tries to get her husband back and save his life but all her efforts are put to rest as she realises that its too late and from then she starts supporting Nathan. It may sound very usual kind of a flick but no dear it even worst than usual.
Slither comes from the writer of the Dawn Of The Dead ; stars Elizabeth Banks of Seabiscuit, Spiderman 2, Catch Me If U Can, etc ; Gregg Henry of Payback, Star Trek: Insurrection, etc ; Nathan Fillion of Saving Private Ryan, Blast From The Past, etc but then I feel all of them are wasted in the movie. Although I am not a fan of any1 of the above mentioned cast but then with quite decent previous records this movie would seriously affect their reputation.
Throughout the movie you will have a feeling that you are watching some movie of the 60s. It looks so old, lacks appeal, doesnt keep u glued, etc. When I saw the movie there were about 15 -18 people in the stall ( I didnt see but then I think even balcony was as full as the stall). Guys if u all trust me then dont go for SLITHER, its hopeless. It wont scare you, wont entertain you and definately not give you your moneys worth so..... AVOID !
Take Care,
Neeru.
