When I saw this slum dog millionaire I wasn’t moved. in buzzing town of Mumbai full of rich sharukh khans and KJ’s of Hollywood a large section has lived and continues to live a that is unimaginable for most of us. the movie is a mediocre and yet colonizer’s view of the third world country like India.
The movie has no plot so to say except the boring romance between patel and the chick. that it won so many oscars after showing what many live to experience raw handed everyday is just what you would expect in a world that is facing recession.
the movie sadly is not only showing how much poverty we still have failed to deal with given the IT boom and mittals and tata boom.
in all a crap movie which shouldn’t have got so much of praise as it is basic for many Mumbaikar and Indians. there are many movies which are hell lot better than a foreigner made crap that gets accolade the world over!
recommend to move on and to see the movie only when they show it on TV and trust me the longer you keep off the better you’ll feel about it.
