I took up standard health check up of Rs 1500 from SMART HEALTH Clinical Laboratory located at Dwarka, Delhi. The package included about 70 tests(of blood and urine such as CBC, LFT, KFT etc) and rate is very less as compared to market. That was the reason I went there. The test results were strange that showed everything normal.
My doctor was suspecting a health problem which was so obvious that he did not agree to the test results. I asked the laboratory to check insisting something is wrong in the results. To my surprise, they re did it and got different results which now looked correct as per my health condition. Some excuse was provided for the mistake.
The difference was so huge that it clearly showed they did not test the first time. They also insisted they had my blood sample available after publishing my results for next 3 days. They insisted I give back previous test reports.I refused and following an argument, I asked for a refund of whole amount for giving the test reports back.
I was given that promptly. Probably scared that 2 different reports of same sample at same date and time showed their incompetence clearly. I still don’t trust any of the reports neither does my doctor.
Lessons learnt- Don’t fall prey to labs offering discounted rates for health packages. They are not doing any tests. Randomly printing reports with some numbers. Go to a reputed clinic for tests. We don’t know what goes in such kind of labs. Sadly, in our country there is no legal course for anything. I am doing my bit by posting my experience.
