I had gone to Smile Stylers to align and correct my smile. The doctor suggested that I go for ceramic crowns, which was totally unnecssary. After the procedure, I know that veneers would have been a much better option. Before starting the procedure he told me that the crowns will last for life, but now after researching online I know that they last only for 10 years and then they will need to be replaced. The problem was not rectified even with the expensive procedure, in fact the new crowns look worse than the old teeth. Moreover, the crowns have a metal cap inside and when he fixed it there was a black shadow across the gumline which should never have happened. When I questioned him about it, he said it’s my gums, but now I know that the shadow is the metal cap and this problem is supposed to occur only after 10 years of having the crown. In my case, the day he put the crowns in the shadow was visible.
The doctor makes very tall claims and promises and you can get quite easily fooled by the plush interiors of the clinic. Stay away from this place as they do not recommend the right procedure, they only recommend the most expensive and the results are far from satisfactory. The doctor is very evasive about questions and is bothered only about making money. He has absolutely no sense of aesthetics and looks only for the most expensive and good enough fix. People looking for real cosmetic improvement should clearly look away. With such scruples as that of the dentist, even other dental complaints are likely to be used as an avenue to make more money. I wish I had never gone to that place. It has been over 6 months since I put the crowns in and the teeth still feels alien to my mouth.
