Wanted to share the positive development:
I had written the below review earlier; however just recently, the senior management of the gym had a very detailed word with me and heard me out. They appeared serious about resolving the issues.
Review which was posted earlier:
SNAP looks like a wonderful package in the neighborhood. I have been waiting for a while to join the place and have been watching the place getting done with lot of enthusiasm. Well, it looked so much worth the wait; until I got injured at my spine right on the DAY-1 of my assessment. This isnt a gym which understands the injuries that could be caused during workouts. With very friendly staff, the atmosphere can be quite motivating. I still like the people and the staff there, despite being Out of Fitness ever since I started at SNAP. The assessment caused my lower spine hurt badly despite me mentioning about my sensitivities there. Now I can not hit the gym for the next few weeks/months. I am under Ortho Care and have been advised not to undergo any strain or do cardio etc for quite sometime ahead. Even my Yoga has now come to an end. Know what, I dread imagining that soon I could be adding some kilos.
The good side is SNAP gave me a realization on injuries during fitness. Realization that we just should not take our body for granted and go only to those, who are experienced and those who care. SNAP management has not attempted to check on my condition yet. I could see the trainer concerned but lack of follow up and care from the managers at SNAP was more hurting than the injury itself. Not a problem, I am sure to be fit soon; with some wisdom gained on preventing fitness related injuries. Recommendation (objectively): Worth joining if you have your own fitness plan. Worth joining if you just care about treadmills and have low expectations. If you are over 40, avoid it. I might go there in future only because I have already paid; but would be my own coach.
SUMMARY: Good People, Bad Processes Good Luck, if you are joining SNAP.
