I had joined snap fitness in the year 2010 for a yearly package. The only good thing about this place was the equipments. The place was very small when compared to other gyms which charge the same amount. First to join the gym, the branch incharge made lot of promises about giving some joining Kit/ 5 free sessions with the trainer/ free plan from the nutrition expert etc. I did not know that the in charge was serving the notice period and she will be gone within weeks of me joining the gym. There was no training given as promised nor there was any joining kit. They had also promised 1 month free, if I join for 1 year, which was also not available.
I attended the gym for 4 months and had to discontinue for 2 months due to work. when I called the gym to inform the same, they informed that 1st month is free and need to pay 500 Rs for the next months... Also when I returned, most of the trainers had changed. Even after multiple attempts to speak with the incharge, there was no free sessions given to me nor the joining kit was given.
Finally I discontinued the gym. Later I started getting calls only when my 1 year was about to expire, asking me to renew the membership with the gym. when I complained about the conditions that were not met of the previous year, they mentioned that everything will be met this time, as all the team was new. I did not want to continue because they are running behind money and nothing else. The trainers are more of body builders and train only a set of members and not all the members.
Advise to look out for other gyms in the area with the same cost and much bigger facility in Jayanagar and J.P.Nagar. Thanks.
