Please don’t buy anything ever from snapdeal. They are cheaters and I am currently undergoing a bitter process to get my money back from them.
In August they advertised their Dollar sale when the dollar prices were rising. I wanted to buy a Nikon 55-200 mm VR f/4-5.6G IF ED AF-S DX Zoom Lens (DX Format). They were advertising it available for Rs 12629 which was the lowest in all the online shopping portals. Now, after a bitter experience I know why it was lower. The order was not shipped even after a week.
When I inquired, they said, they are in process to get the item from seller. By then the lowest price offer on which I had placed order had gone and was declared not available. After repeated inquiries, and not shipping the product by two weeks, they said their stock is over and hence they can not fulfill the order. (How come they were declaring product in stock when I was placing the order. The only reason is they were scamming to get the money.)
They said since my ordered product is not available they will be return my order and I will not be charged for the same. Within a day the order status was changed to Returned and except for warning them for promising but not fulfilling their commitment I did not do anything much.
While placing the order I had opted for EMI scheme through credit card. Later I realized, though they did not fulfill their order, they had charged my credit card and EMIs were being deducted from my credit card. I am yet to get my money back.
I have vowed to never buy anything from them ever. If you don’t want to get cheated, beware of them. My experience with some other not so popular online shopping portals had been much much better.
