Snapdeal and EcomExpress - a deadly combination !!

I bought a food processor on Snapdeal.com on 21st October. The committed delivery date was 25th October. When I did not get any shipment notification till 25th October I called up for a follow up. I was promised a shipment in the next couple of days.


The item was finally shipped on 29th October, through EcomExpress. An airway bill number was also provided. As expected, the item reached Mumbai on 31st October. The status said "Shipment undelivered."


Reason - "Late Arrival / Scheduled for next working day". There was no change in status till 3rd November. On 4th November the Status remained unchanged, but the date of last update changed to 4th November. **Since then, there has been no change in status, or the date of update.


So, today is 12th November. The status still shows the same, updated on 4th November! I tried calling up EcomExpress, but they don’t have any contact number outside Delhi. The only contact number is Delhi also goes unanswered all the time!


During this period I have called up Snapdeal at least five times. Each time I was promised a "call back" which never came. I was promised "prompt action", which never happened. What is amazing is that even now when I call up Snapdeal, their IVR says "Expected delivery date is 2nd November"


I finally asked them to cancel the order and give me a refund. However, Snapdeal wants me to "return the parcel" and then they can cancel the order and give me a refund! I am shocked! How can I return a parcel that has not even been attempted to be delivered in the last two weeks!


It seems Snapdeal and EcomExpress are in connivance to cheat customers. Every time I see their commercial on TV I feel like switching it off! How can they be so irresponsible? How can they claim to ship the item through a courier whose contact details are unknown?


DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM SNAPDEAL, EVER!
