Snapdeal--What's timeliness?

I would like to edit the below review, based on the response and action taken by Snapdeal.com. On 12-Aug-2014, BlueDart courier has contacted me for delivery and the Washing Machine delivered to my residence on 13-Aug-2014. It was neatly packed brand new item. Please see the attached photo of the package.


Over all the transaction was not that bad, I received the product in one week’s time. Only issue was status update from Snapdeal.com, which resulted in lack of confidence, however timely action from Snapdeal.com made me more confident and I am now looking forward to have business with Snapdeal.com.


I am not editing original review so that others can understand the whole story.

Offers great prices. Nothing else is good with Snapdeal. They don’t have no control over associated stores, couriers, and more over customer support is useless. Snapdeal needs a crash course on timeliness and customer orientation, otherwise perish. All these from my experience after ordering a washing machine on Snapdeal. I have ordered LG F1296QD24 7.0 Kg Front Load Washing Machine on 5-Aug-14(order number 2560139087), the price was very good, I could save Rs.6000/- from market price, shipping promised with in one day and delivery with in 4 days. Next day I could see status is getting updated in frequent intervals until the status changed to "Your order is packed and waiting for the courier pickup" on 06-Aug-14 8:47 AM. That’s it. 3 days over still status is same. Customer support changed to estimated shipping time to 5 days, upon complaint on the delay. What a support! Now I started worry about quality of the item also.


Hence I recommend Snapdeal only if you are ready to take calculated risks. Otherwise there are many other e-commerce portals are available around, which stick to their offerings.
