I have made many purchases in the past from Snapdeal. While the experience is not out of the world, nothing was bad. I always thought I got the best deals always from SD.
However, the most recent experience I had is really scary.Order Number 3251487805 was placed on Oct 18th, though there were selling it cheaper.
I have opted to pay a few hundreds extra for a seller who had a Highly Recommended tag by Snapdeal. The seller was supposed to ship the item within 2 days and the delivery estimate was Oct 25th. You can see this in the attachment, which is a screenshot from the email they have sent.
The product was shipped on 22nd, which was the fourth day against the promised second day. Now, when I checked the status in their website, the expected delivery date has been pushed to Oct 31st from Oct 25th. Yes, a whole week!
Now, is this the website you are going to buy a 60K worth TV or 30K priced smartphone? Get life. I cannot reach the customer care, I could just select the IVR option and then it goes to indefinite silence. They just dont bother to respond in Social Media. On top of all that, they changed the delivery date and the order appears asNot cancellable. That means, they charged me money, but will deliver the product if and when they want!
This is a clear case of customer exploitation and you dont need more explanation for the Quality of Service they offer. Buy high value items from them at your own risk. Never ever pre-pay for orders.
Please see the attachment which is self explanatory! Snapdeal is not trustworthy and buying anything above 200/- is a risky affair.
