I wanted to order an AC and hence browsed through Flipkart and unfortunately they didnt have this product. I then tried to check other e-commerce websites and found this product in snapdeal. I ordered the product (order number: 1949992266) by making a full payment online through snapdeal.com. I got a message stating that the product will reach me within 2 to 3 business days. I still did not receive it after 3 business days. I had to call the customer service and then they informed me that its going to take 3 more days (19th April 2014) to get this product delivered.
On 19th April, I called the customer service once again and they informed that I will have to check with the courier partner Gati and gave a number to call. Again, I called Gati and they informed that the product will be delivered only on 21st April. I informed that I need the product delivered urgently and added the snapdeal executive also in the same call. We all had conversation and finally snapdeal agreed to get this escalated and get the product delivered on 19th April itself, the assured delivery date.
Snapdeal informed that they will call back within 2 hours. No one called back. Again I had to call Snapdeal, spoke to escalation help desk. They informed that, they cannot do anything since its out of business hours and will have to wait for 48 hours. I sighed and thought "My god! Why did I order this through Snapdeal and had to go through all this ordeal! :(
To summarize, I would not recommend snapdeal to anyone. It would be at your own risk. If at all you are ordering only opt for Cash on delivery because there would be delay in delivery for sure and you can easily cancel your order and look for other avenues. The customer service is really bad and do not expect any follow up even if you escalate. Its been more than one week and Im still waiting for my product and dont know when it will be delivered. :(
